Vietnamese street food is featured in a Korean reality show

In the most recent episode of “Battle Trip,” a popular Korean reality TV show, two Vietnamese street foods, pho and coffee, strongly impressed visitors.

Specifically, in the segment recorded in Ho Chi Minh City, actor Kim Tae Hoon and writer Jo Seung Yeon had the opportunity to enjoy a traditional beef noodle soup near the Bitexco building (District 1). Both then gave many praises for this famous dish.

Actor Kim Tae Hoon said that Vietnam is like his second home, after “falling in love” with the food here. “The soup is really delicious, and the noodles are very soft,” shared Kim Tae Hoon. 

When it comes to Vietnamese food in Korea, pho is always a high priority. This is also one of the most popular dishes among Korean visitors to the country, according to the actor. 

Also in this episode, the duo visited the backpacker area of ​​Bui Vien Street (District 1) and tried Saigon’s signature coffee.

Writer Jo Seung Yeon shared: “Maybe at first, Koreans will not be familiar with the taste of Vietnamese coffee. Because it is quite stronger and bitter than the Korean way of drinking coffee.”
