On June 22, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) in Vietnam organized a connection with travel businesses and tourism management agencies in Vietnam to promote the development of MICE tourism. The event has the presence of 25 Korean units and more than 150 Vietnamese travel agencies.

The MICE Korea Tourism Conference 2022 is an opportunity for tourism businesses of the two countries to share information and discuss to advance cooperation and development of tourism in Vietnam and Korea.

“In the past two years, Korea and Vietnam as well as the world have faced many difficulties, but we still believe that Vietnam and Korea will cooperate and go further together. Korean tourism has always appreciated the potential of the MICE tourism market in Vietnam. We are always ready to welcome Vietnamese businesses to Korea MICE tourism. Hopefully, this program will create more opportunities for deeper and broader cooperation between units of the two countries,” said Mr. Lee Jae Hoon, Chief Representative of KTO.

Previously, Vietnam’s tourism welcomed 4,290,800 Korean tourists in 2019, holding the second position in Vietnam’s tourism’s largest sending markets. In contrast, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Korea in 2019 reached 554,000, of which, 73,000 entered for purposes related to MICE tourism.
