Award-winning upscale outdoor hospitality brand for glamping Under Canvas is expected to expand to two new U.S. locations next spring.
Under Canvas is well-known for its luxurious all-inclusive glamping areas offering guests the natural beauty of many American locations with luxury amenities.
Following the success of the previous seven locations across the country, the two new locations Under Canvas has selected are Maine, which marks the brand’s first location in East Coast America, and Lake Powell in Utah.
In the two new locations, Under Canvas glampsites also features Safari-style tents, king-size beds, premium linens and towels, en-suite bathrooms with hot running water and wood-burning stoves. There is also daily housekeeping service, communal dining spots and welcome lobbies in separate tents.
Seeing sustainability as its core mission, Under Canvas always strives to minimize its impact on the landscape. The camps also avoid having wifi at its locations so that guests can completely put phones and technology aside to enjoy the experiences with their companions.
The 90-hectare and 50-tent Under Canvas Lake Powell Grand Staircase glampsite is scheduled to be deployed in April in the Canyon Rim Plateau. This location will help the Grand Staircase offer glampers distant views of Grand Staircase, Escalante National Monument – a protected region of 200 million-year-old canyons, and close to landmarks such as Antelope Canyon, Lone Rock Beach, Grosvenor Arch, etc. Rates of Under Canvas Lake Powell Grand Staircase will range from 299 USD per night.
Meanwhile, planned to be launched in May, Under Canvas Acadia is located along Maine Coastline, 35 minutes of driving from the famous Cadillac Mountain Trail and Acadia National Park. With this location, guests of this 40-hectare glampsite are able to enjoy the verdant New England countryside and its nearby mountains. Especially, 75 percent of the glampsite area will remain unspoiled to preserve the local natural environment.
Facilities in Under Canvas Acadia include a waterfront lobby tent, wellness activities, communal outdoor gathering spaces and gourmet dining experiences. In addition, 63 accommodation tents will be designed with inspiration from the local culture, using natural wood, coastal hues and materials. Glampers are expected to pay from 314 USD per night to stay at Under Canvas Acadia.
