Pandaw Cruises has welcomed tourists back on tours of the Mekong region after a two-and-a-half year hiatus.
Recently, the RV Angkor Pandaw, with 16 rooms on two decks, completed its first 10-night expedition of the season along Vietnam’s Red River with an overnight visit to Ha Long Bay.
Travelers had booked seats on the first Pandaw cruise that departed Ha Long in September and completed the 10-day trip. They were greeted on board by the crew of RV Angkor Pandaw, including Purser Myo, who has worked with Pandaw for decades.
The above river cruise itineraries mark the prosperity of tourism activities. The destination in Vietnam promises to attract international tourists thanks to its safety and sustainability, thereby promoting the development of the post-pandemic tourism industry.
The two Vietnam travel itineraries have been resumed with commercial passengers for the first time. Mekong river cruises in Laos, Cambodia, and India will resume in October. In Myanmar, where the fleet is still in the drydock, the outlook remains grim, and it is unlikely river boat sailings will return in 2023.
