A climbing tour agency in Nepal has confirmed, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha has become the first Vietnamese woman to successfully conquer the roof of the world – Mount Everest.
Recently, on the official Twitter, Seven Summit Treks – a company specializing in organizing expeditions based in Nepal announced that Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha had successfully set foot on the highest mountain in the world – Everest at 8,849 meters (29,032 feet), over the southeastern ridge at 3:30 am (Nepal time).
Seven Summit Treks also affirms that Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha is the first Vietnamese woman to successfully conquer the roof of the world, opening a historic achievement for the Vietnamese mountaineering community. According to data from The Himalayan Database, as of December 2021, only 3 Vietnamese have successfully climbed Everest, and all are men.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha, 35 years old is currently a lawyer in Ho Chi Minh City. She has a strong passion for mountain climbing. To date, she has successfully conquered the 7 highest peaks in the world. Before Everest, in January 2022, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha set foot on the top of Mount Vinson at an altitude of 4,892 meters above sea level in Antarctica.
