From November 24 to 27, the Food Festival themed “Unity in Diversity” is taking place at the event area of Le Loi Street, the intersection of Pasteur Street and Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street.
Coming here, people can enjoy delicious dishes from famous restaurants from many different countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. It is considered as the first public event on the street after seven years of being blocked for building the construction of an underground station of metro line No.1 (Bien Thanh – Suoi Tien). The street was reopened at the end of August 2022.

On behalf of the organizers, Ho Xuan Lam, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, said that introducing the cuisine of ASEAN countries is the highlight of the Food Festival. The festival expects to attract many visitors to participate in cultural, artistic, and culinary activities.
The consulate generals of countries in ASEAN in Ho Chi Minh City have introduced typical restaurants and dishes. In particular, participants also have the opportunity to enjoy delicious food at affordable prices at the festival.
In addition, the festival also organizes cultural and artistic exchanges and performances, including the ASEAN art performance night, the program to introduce the tea, wine, and coffee arts of different countries, street art gigs, and bartending performances.
According to Lam, the event aims to promote the friendship and cooperation between the Vietnamese people and ASEAN countries and practically welcomes the 4th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations in the 2022 – 2027 tenure.
The festival is also part of a series of activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of ASEAN (1967 – 2022).
