Chungbuk province (South Korea) plans to operate return flights from Cheongju to many international tourist destinations, including Vietnam.

A representative of Chungbuk province said that starting from next July, flights from Cheongju (South Korea) will land at Da Nang and Da Lat airports. Accordingly, these are the two favorite tourist destinations of Koreans when coming to Vietnam, before the Covid-19 pandemic took place.

Besides Cheongju, a number of other Korean airlines have also started to increase flights to and from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City after the entry restrictions are lifted.

In 2019, the number of Korean tourists to Vietnam reached 4.3 million, making Korea the second largest tourism market of Vietnam at that time. Hopefully after reopening after two years, this number will soon increase.

Since March 15, Vietnam has officially resumed its visa-free policy for tourists from South Korea. Besides, from April 1, South Korea has also allowed all foreign tourists, including Vietnam, to enter without quarantine requirements.
