In order to upgrade culinary experience at Saigon Café restaurant with seafood buffet, Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers launched Instagrammable Spot integrated with AR (Augmented Reality) technology.
AR is a technology that combines virtual information with the real world. At Saigon Café, diners can experience AR with only a smartphone. They just need to stand in front of the 3D model, scan the available code by camera and easily see the moving image on the screen. They can also interact with virtual models to record and share their videos on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
Sheraton Saigon fearlessly applies AR technology to enhance connection with guests. In the debut, Sheraton Saigon introduced its first Instagrammable Spot theme called #FromOceanToTable recreating the peaceful fishing village with many activities in the early morning. The Instagrammable Spot is set to change every quarter to bring diners new experiences and stories.
To finish this project, Sheraton Saigon cooperated with SoWat Station, a gathering place for young artists pioneering the application of technology to experience digital art.
Julian Wong, General Manager of Sheraton Saigon, said: “Focusing on values of Welcoming, Assured and Community, Sheraton Saigon is not only a high-class five-star hotel in the city center, where culinary quintessence converges, but also creates a playground for young artists to present impressive and familiar works to bring unprecedented experiences to diners in Saigon.”
Truong Thoai Yen, Director of Marketing Communications, said: “Instagrammable Spot means a destination helps each diner to create their own story and become unique content creators. By AR, they can create cool interaction videos and share with others on social media.”
Instagrammable Spot is located at the lounge of Saigon Café restaurant and all-day opens for diners to visit and experience starting from November 4, 2022.
