Quang Ninh province quickly made a detailed plan to implement a series of tourism stimulus programs as well as culture, sports tourism and trade programs in the last months of 2020 to attract as many visitors as possible, aiming to reach 3 million tourist arrivals in Q4 of this year.
Covid-19 is basically curbed in Vietnam and so after days of strict social distance and quarantine, Vietnamese travelers are able to travel to domestic destinations. Quang Ninh is always one of the top destinations chosen by tourists, especially those living in the North.
To boost tourism, the Quang Ninh provincial authorities try to ensure the image of a “safe, attractive and responsible” destination through prioritizing measures to ensure safety for tourists, promote and develop tourism while staying vigilant against the pandemic.
Recently, Quang Ninh province has issued a solution to achieve the goal of 3 million tourist arrivals in Q4, continue to create a foundation to further promote tourism in 2021 and more. Particularly, the province will organize a series of stimulus programs to enhance tourism, culture, sports and trade to attract religious travelers, cultural travelers, MICE travelers and leisure travelers.
Only in October 2020, Quang Ninh has planned to organize 28 events and activities to stimulate tourism demand. Highlights are Week of seafood combined with Vietnamese goods markets, OCOP Week, National Sports Tournaments held in Ha Long, Themed Experiential Tourism Activities, cultural festivals in Van Don, Tien Yen, Yen Tu (Uong Bi), Co To, Binh Lieu, etc.
In November will be held 19 events and activities, including the affiliate program for tourism development between Ho Chi Minh City and eight Northeastern provinces held in Ha Long, the introduction of Quang Ninh tourism at the VIMT in Hanoi, Festival Ao dai Quang Ninh, Ha Long 2020, and sports tournaments and competitions.
Before the end of 2020, the province will deploy a series of 14 programs in December with many activities to welcome the new year such as Week of Local Culture & Cuisine, Christmas and New Year performances and series of spiritual tourism activities.
Quang Ninh is determined to strengthen cooperation with some localities such as Thai Nguyen and Hanoi to develop and exploit the domestic market. In addition, the province will also work with private sectors to support Quang Ninh tourism.
Provided the pandemic has been completely managed, Quang Ninh province will reconnect domestic flights from Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang to Van Don international airport as well as open new domestic routes from Buon Ma Thuot, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc to Van Don.
