These tourists from the US, Canada and South Korea visit Quang Nam on a sealed tour with a leisure and sightseeing schedule arranged according to the procedure of ensuring safety. It is expected that tourists will visit Hoi An ancient town, My Son ruins, activities at Hoi An walking street at night.

According to Tran Van Tan, Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee, the province is very pleased to welcome the first international tourist groups to Vietnam after a 2-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Quang Nam is one of the first localities to make proposals to welcome international tourists and has made many efforts in rearranging and restoring tourism activities.

Hoiana Resort, one of three venues welcoming international tourists this time, has been surveyed and evaluated on the preparation for welcoming guests, safety, and disease prevention.

Steve Wolstenholme, Chairman and CEO of Hoiana Resort, said: “These are positive steps to bring international tourists back to Vietnam and restore tourism activities after nearly 2 years of freezing. I hope that from now until the New Year, we can welcome more international tourist groups to Hoi An and Quang Nam.”

In the near future, Vietnam will continue to welcome international flights from key markets such as South Korea, Japan, Russia, Australia, etc to localities that have been approved to pilot welcoming international arrivals.
