Vietjet’s flight from Bangkok carrying 126 passengers landed at Phu Quoc International Airport on October 12.

This flight marks the opening of Thai Vietjet’s direct connection to the pearl island of Phu Quoc with Bangkok (Thailand). Among the passengers on the flight was a delegation of foreign ambassadors in Thailand led by Vietnamese Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh, along with representatives of large businesses in Thailand to visit and work with the leaders of Kien Giang province about cooperation and investment opportunities.

The Phu Quoc – Bangkok route operates 4 flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with a flight time of only about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Mr. Woranate Laprabang, General Director of Thai Vietjet Air, said: “We are very pleased to continue to connect Thailand with the beautiful and famous island of Vietnam, helping people and tourists of the two countries have more travel options, including convenient and economical travel. Especially, making it easier than ever for international tourists to come to Phu Quoc through the gateway of Bangkok. Vietjet’s new international routes will continue to serve the growing travel demand in the region and promote the recovery of trade, international tourism, and the aviation industry.”
