According to an announcement by Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, visitors entering Malaysia won’t have to fill in personal information in the MySejahtera app.

Reportedly, the Malaysian government has issued the above decision after reviewing the country’s current health system and concluded that everything is under control. Despite relaxing the rule for entry, the government will still strengthen health checks on every visitor going into the country.

Mr. Jamaluddin advised travelers to self-monitor their health, follow the epidemic prevention procedures in Malaysia and go to the doctor if they feel unwell.

MySejahtera is an application used by the Malaysian government to manage and track infections, which works almost like a Thailand Pass. Previously, visitors entering Malaysia had to download this application on their phones and fill in all personal information.
