Korean Air – South Korea’s largest airline has officially resumed the Incheon to Da Nang route after two years of suspension due to Covid-19.

Recently, a Korean Air flight departing from Incheon (South Korea) landed safely at Da Nang International Airport (Vietnam) with 200 tourists. This is the first flight connecting Incheon and Da Nang after over 2 years of suspension due to Covid-19.

A Korean Air representative said the airline will organize two flights per week on Wednesday and Saturday. From July 27, Korean Air will plan to make this route a daily service.

Sharing this information, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh – Deputy Head of the city’s tourism department said: “South Korea is one of the largest tourism markets for Da Nang and the resumption of the Incheon-Da Nang service is a positive sign for tourism recovery”.

According to statistics in 2019, a year before the outbreak of the pandemic, Da Nang welcomed a total of 1.7 million tourists from South Korea. Hopefully, this number will continue to grow in the near future, after Vietnam and South Korea officially lifted restrictions on entry from March 15.
