Boom Supersonic Company introduces a new aircraft model with a cruising speed of nearly 2,100 km/h that can carry passengers between London and New York in just 3.5 hours.
The Overture supersonic aircraft was announced by Boom Supersonic at the Farnborough international air show from July 18-22. This new aircraft has undergone 26 million hours of design and 5 tests. in the wind tunnel to ensure the most optimal aircraft speed.
According to Boom Supersonic, the Overture will be an economical and environmentally sustainable supersonic aircraft. The improved configuration includes a number of technical innovations on the aerodynamic side, reducing noise levels and increasing performance. Blake Scholl, CEO, and founder of Boom, describes the Overture as a hybrid between Concorde and Boeing 747.
“Overture is revolutionary in design, promising to change the way we think about distance. With more than 600 routes globally, Overture will make commuting easier for tens of millions of travelers,” Scholl said.
