Luxury river cruises in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam operated by Heritage Line are expected to resume in September next year.

The company expects that cruises on the Lower Mekong River in Vietnam and Cambodia will restart on January 1, 2022 with two luxury boats Jahan and Jayavarman. Heritage Lane also has 4 ships waiting to resume early next year in Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay, Vietnam.

Meanwhile, in Laos, the company hopes to reopen cruises on the Upper Mekong River as early as September 2022 with the Anouvong boat. It is currently difficult to predict when these river cruises can be resumed as travel to Laos is being halted, the company said.

In Myanmar, Heritage Line has suspended operations until August 2023 due to political instability and pandemic in this country.

Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar, are currently closing their borders and temporarily suspending visas for foreign visitors, except in certain cases. As a result, most international flights to these countries are suspended.
