It is known that the main reason for this decision was the lack of a helipad for helicopters here.

After 5 months of operation, the city tour by helicopter in Ho Chi Minh City has officially been suspended. Currently, companies providing this service are no longer accepting bookings and cannot handle customers who have already booked tours.

The reason for this decision is shortage of helipads, as well as the difficult procedure to apply for a permit to land at Tan Son Nhat airport.

First launched in April 2022, the city tour by helicopter costs about 4 million VND ($177.63)/person with a total duration of 40 minutes. The helicopters pick up passengers and depart from the airport of Military Medical Hospital 175 or Tan Son Nhat international airport, then take tourists in turn to fly over destinations such as Phu My bridge, Thu Thiem bridge, etc. Landmark 81 and Binh Quoi tourist area.

Although newly launched, this tour attracted a lot of attention from the public, contributing to promoting tourism development of Ho Chi Minh City.
