FIFA has unveiled the ‘Tent City’ experience as part of the fan village experience at World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

The “Tent City” is located in Al Khor city – a coastal city in northern Qatar, about 50 km north of Doha (the capital city of Qatar). The special geographical location of “Tent City”, situated right at Farkiah Beach, allows fans to admire the natural beauty of beaches and experience the local culture.

With a price of 420 USD/night, the accommodations at Tent City are fully equipped with necessary amenities such as air conditioning, private bathrooms, tea and coffee makers, hair dryers, etc. According to FIFA, the “Tent city” allows fans to connect with Qatar’s culture and provides a unique camping experience.

FIFA is expected to welcome between one and two million visitors to Qatar during the 2022 World Cup. Qatar will provide up to 130,000 hotel rooms, of which 90,000 are for online reservations. Meanwhile, most remaining rooms are for FIFA and its sponsoring partners.

In addition, Al Khor is also one of the five host cities for the 2022 World Cup, including the match between England and the US in Group B on November 25, and a semi-final on December 14.
