Starting November 1, All Nippon Airways (Japan) will offer new vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free meals starting November 1 on its flights. November 1 is also World Vegan Day.
Tomoji Ishii, Executive Vice President, Customer Experience Management & Planning of ANA, said: “Providing inclusive meal options is essential to ensuring our customers with the best in-flight experience. We look forward to delivering these high-quality menu items and supplying a range of food options for all of our customers.”
As with the previous healthy in-flight dining options that ANA served, the new menus are made by well-known chef Hideki Takayama and the ANA chefs.
The addition is a part of ANA’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) so that passengers can enjoy meals that meet their individual food preferences, taste and daily eating habits for a healthy life. Previously, in October last year, ANA introduced diabetic, low fat, low-calorie and low-salt meals, chosen and loved by many customers.

The new vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menu will be served in all classes on ANA-operated flights. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of flight via ANA website or by telephone.
