Recently, AirAsia X (AAX) announced it finished the compensation for more than 270,000 canceled bookings due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic during the past two years. The refund includes all MYR499 Unlimited Pass holders and a five-year travel voucher offering the complete value of the bookings.

Customers can use the travel voucher to book AAX flights, and further ones to foreign destinations are now on sale. Besides, AAX’s network is expanding with more flight routes, beginning with Japan, Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand, London, Dubai, and Istanbul in 2022.

To get the travel voucher, customers need to register for AirAsia rewards members by using the same email for a reservation because of the link between the travel voucher and the account. Additionally, AAX will put the remaining compensation entitlements into priority. AAX will contact their customers through their registered email addresses.

According to Tony Fernandes, AAX Acting Group CEO, they had delivered the goods to AXX guests and given away travel vouchers, worth more than USD 92 million for over a quarter million bookings. The total booking was about 80%. Meanwhile, they were approaching the final groups until they fulfilled what they had promised.
