In the third quarter of 2023, Accor will debut its first Mövenpick hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital.
The new hotel Mövenpick Jakarta Pecenongan features 253 rooms, a seventh floor executive lounge, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and fitness center, and five restaurants and bars including all day dining and specialty options. In addition, there will also be two ballrooms, a pre-function area, and a wedding chapel on the sixth floor.
Mövenpick Jakarta Pecenongan is actually the second property signed by Accor in Jakarta. The Mövenpick Jakarta International Airport hotel was announced before but it will not open until 2026.
Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer of Accor, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, commented: “We are delighted to introduce our world-famous Mövenpick brand to downtown Jakarta. With its unsurpassed location, world-class facilities and exceptional event space, we expect that Mövenpick Jakarta Pecenongan will become a top choice for business and leisure travelers alike.”
Accor currently operates around 130 hotels across Indonesia, with a further 53 under development.
