Accor has partnered with real estate company Tokyu Resorts and Stays to launch the very first dual-branded hotel in Japan.

Accordingly, Mercure Tokyu Stay Osaka Namba is headquartered in Osaka and will officially open on December 1. This is the first hotel with the partnership of midscale Mercure brands of Accor and Tokyu Stay in Japan.

Garth Simmons, Managing Director of Accor Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea, said: “We are thrilled to introduce Mercure Tokyu Stay Osaka Namba, a unique and significant addition to our midscale brand portfolio in Japan. This property offers the perfect setting for local and international visitors to explore the local scene whether they are in town for business or leisure, and enjoy the warm hospitality that is unique to this region”.

Mercure Tokyu Stay Osaka Namba Hotel has a total of 288 rooms, located about a 4-minute walk from Namba Station, where there is a direct train to Kansai International Airport.

The hotel is designed with a dark interior, inspired by Nishi Shinsaibashi, an area famous for the warehouses of firewood traders during the Edo period. This place was later renovated to become a gallery and chain store for local artists.

The hotel’s rooms are designed to suit both short-term and long-term guests, with washing machine, dryer and kitchenette facilities. All rooms are equipped with 50-inch TVs, showers and high-speed wifi. In addition, the hotel also has a 24/7 Center M restaurant, with an Italian-style menu.

Accor has more than 810 Mercure-branded hotels spread across 60 countries worldwide.
